Preparing for an Appointment

  • What should I bring to my first appointment?
    • Statements from any investment and/or brokerage accounts that you may have.
    • Copy of any employer sponsored retirement programs including 401(k), IRA(s), etc.
    • Life insurance policy information

 

  • What should I bring in order to start the financial planning process?
    • Paystubs
    • Statements from all of your financial accounts
    • Bank account statements
    • Credit Card statements that have not been paid off
    • Social Security statements
    • Employer benefit information
    • Statements for all liabilities, debts, and mortgages including the interest rates
    • Most recent life insurance policy statements
    • A good understanding of your expenses: Gasoline, groceries, utilities, taxes, etc.
    • Short term and long term financial goals

 

  • How should I prepare for the review of my existing account?
    • Bring any documents, or information that may have changed your current financial situation.
    • Prepare any questions you may have for your advisor.
    • Be prepared to discuss any recommendations your advisor may or may not make in order to best suite your current finances.
