- What should I bring to my first appointment?
- Statements from any investment and/or brokerage accounts that you may have.
- Copy of any employer sponsored retirement programs including 401(k), IRA(s), etc.
- Life insurance policy information
- What should I bring in order to start the financial planning process?
- Paystubs
- Statements from all of your financial accounts
- Bank account statements
- Credit Card statements that have not been paid off
- Social Security statements
- Employer benefit information
- Statements for all liabilities, debts, and mortgages including the interest rates
- Most recent life insurance policy statements
- A good understanding of your expenses: Gasoline, groceries, utilities, taxes, etc.
- Short term and long term financial goals
- How should I prepare for the review of my existing account?
- Bring any documents, or information that may have changed your current financial situation.
- Prepare any questions you may have for your advisor.
- Be prepared to discuss any recommendations your advisor may or may not make in order to best suite your current finances.
